| My daughter and I are graduated students of the Pittsburgh John Casablancas Center. As with any new thing it took a little time to get into the routine, but we both seemed to fit in quickly and enjoyed every minute of our training.
My daughter Samantha was in the female modeling classes. I was attending the TV print classes. As months went by we both learned many new and exciting things and made lots of new friends.
Samantha and I were interviewed and picked to model in the Bridal show in the Mill Creek Mall in Erie PA. It was a fun and exciting event. Samantha was featured with a few other models on the Pittsburgh Today morning show on Tuesday September 25, 2007. The show features different fashion trends and airs these segments every other Tuesday. Samantha and I will also be modeling in a fashion show at the Robinson Mall in October.
I feel very satisfied with the education and training that Samantha and I received while attending JC. As with any education, upon completion you are given a certificate, or diploma but you are never guaranteed a job. I feel that some JC students and parents feel that John Casablancas is responsible for finding their child jobs. But I must ask, do these parents feel the same way when their child graduates high school, trade school or college?
So for my daughter, I call the job hotline, take her to interviews, and keep her face and name out there. The jobs are not going to come knocking on our door. We have been booked for several shows through the hotline at John Casablancas. It takes time and work on our part, just like any other job. And, like most cities there are also other agencies and other avenues to pursue. John Casablancas has given us the education now its up to us what we do with it. As with any education you only get out of it what you are willing to put into it.
We would like to thank first Gail, for her faith in us from the beginning, Terri, for her knowledge and caring, Monica, for passing on her skills to Samantha. We were given a gift by our instructors and appreciate all their hard work and dedication. And their dedication continues as long as we also show dedication in our education.

| There are really no words to explain my experience here. Being a plus size hopeful model the teachers didnt' make me feel out of place around the smaller girls. I recently just connected back with Terry from there and she offered me some helpful resources and suggestions to help to jump start my career. Did I mention I was around 12 and all the girls in my acting/modeling classes were 15 and older? While there were not many jobs avaliable for me at that age I got some tools to help me when I get older.I hope anyone interested in the school realizes that they are making a FANTASTIC choice. |
