| My name is Caelese and I started taking modeling classes when I was in 8th grade. That was possibly the funnest experience that I had since I last played a sport. It was so cool to meet girls my age and older who wanted to have a career in the same thing as me and that we worked together to achieve it. The classes taught me so much not only how to become a great model but also self-confidence. Before modeling classes, I was hopeless when it came to makeup. Now, when I wear it I look like I have been wearing it all my life. I feel so confident no matter where I am because I learned to accept myself for me. Because in this industry you need to know that because you can be shot down for jobs all the time but you need to know how to pick yourself back up again.
I am now 14 years old, in high school and I have graduated from my JC classes. I have been signed with the Ford Modeling Agency in Chicago! This is an experience and goal that I could not have achieved without the help of my amazing teachers who taught me everything I know. They are always early for their fittings, rehearsals, and for the shows. When there is not a make-up artist available, their makeup application is always flawless. | I graduated from the JC Center in Hartford about 10 years ago and have been modeling full time ever since. Tina has guided me every step of the way. If it wasn't for her.. I would not be as successful as I am today! Thankyou TINA!!! Tina placed me with an agency in Boston while I was still in high school (with braces). Then when the braces came off, we headed to NYC. I then signed with Elite.I spent a few months in NYC testing and getting ready for Europe, Then I worked in Milan for a few months, and moved to Paris, to work for almost 3 years. I then moved back to NYC and switched to Next Modeling agency. I lived in NYC for about 6 years and just got married and moved out to L.A., last year.
I have worked for tons of clients through the years, editorial in magazines, commercials, fashion shows, hair ads, bridal, swimsuit, lingerie, and lots of catalogues!
I have had a wonderful career, and owe it all to Tina and the Hartford JC Center. Tina has been a wonderful constant in my life. She will always call to check in on me, no matter where I am in the world. And I have always been able to call her from where ever I am in the world with a problem and she can always solve it! | My association with John Casablancas in Berlin CT. has been absolutely fulfilling. I attended the school after being discovered by a recruiter and graduated in August 2000. My indoctrination consisted of exciting runway, make-up application, and commercial classes taught by enthusiastic instructors. As a result, my self-esteem had been enhanced and I gained modeling etiquette that I've applied during jobs as well as in my daily life. I've been shown immense loyalty and dedication by JC employees as they actively send me on castings locally and in NY. In 2004 a phone call from the center to appear for a casting for the Sports Ilustrated Model Search reality show that aired on NBC resulted in my selection as one of the 12 finalists! I continue to receive support from my JC family while I model in NY with an agency they introduced me too, even when I least expected it! I'm very, very grateful to John Casablancas. |

| Three years ago, while strolling through the vendor tents at the Greater Hartford Open Golf Tournament, a representative from the Hartford, CT branch of John Casablancas called me over to her table and asked if I had ever considered modeling. I immediatedly told her, "No I had not." But before I could take a step away to look at the cool hot tub display at the next table, the John Casablancas representative told me that I should seriously consider it, because of the fabulous opportunites available to those involved in modeling and fashion. I paused, then asked, "What kind of opportunities?". The rest is history.
As a graduate of John Casablancas' male modeling and commercial acting courses, I now know what the JC representative was talking about. Since graduating, I have had jobs in print, runway, on line, and in television commercials in CT, as well as MA. My image from a local television commercial for Hartford's international airport amazingly ended up on a national AT&T Wireless commercial. WOW! Who would of thunk it? Certainly not I.
I can't thank the excellent instructors at JC Hartford enough for providing me with the tools and top notch representation to allow for my success in this business. Special thanks to Tina, Nancy and Irene. Without their tireless efforts and guidance, none of the above would have been possible.

My daughter has been going to JC since she was approx. 7 yrs. old. She will be 13 yrs. old shortly. I can't say enough about JC. I have the upmost respect for both Tina and Nancy. They have been nothing more than professional, honest and most of all, caring to the children that they teach. The little ones right on up to the teenagers, get a chance to build self confidence, express themselves, and really get a chance to shine as an individual. Some of these children may not turn out to be a Meg Ryan, or a Tyra Banks, but they really seem to walk away with a different perspective about themselves. JC is my daughters "home office" as I like to say. They gave her an initial start, and now it's up to my daughter whether or not she chooses to continue. Never force your child, the decision can't be your "dream", it "must" be your childs. She has taken Comm.Acting & Improv classes, which has prompted her to take other classes as a result of Irene's teaching. Irene is just one of the excellent teachers at JC.
It takes time to get jobs, and sometimes you go on quite a few auditions. But the kids learn that in life, you don't always get what you want, and they also learn that just because you do not get chosen, it does not mean that their is something wrong with you, it just that for that particular shoot, they were looking for a different look. JC teaches the kids that each and everyone is special in their own way, and that you just have to be patient, and of course it's all "timming".
My daughter has done several things thru JC, such as Bullying Videos, Promo Training Videos, Photo Shoots, Catalogs, etc. She also has branched out into NYC with some commercials, fit modeling, breast cancer awareness ads, medical documentary, etc.
Bottom line, is that the training, and the small price you initially pay, if your child enjoys it, the opportunities are endless and it's nice to be affiliated with an agency that puts the childrens interests first, and works with the parents.
My hat goes off to all at JC, from the secretaries right on up to the top. They are truly a "Class Act".

| I graduated from the women's program at John Casablancas in Hartford in 2001. It was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Before attending JC I was shy, didn't know how to wear makeup, and didn't have a big clue about fashion. I had low self esteem and never thought I would be good enough for modeling. Now, I know how to do makeup, I'm more aware of fashion and how to present myself and sometimes you can't shut me up, which could be a good thing or bad thing. My self esteem has greatly improved.
In 2003 I had the opportunity to do a fashion show when Jennifer Lopez came out with her new line of swim wear. It was such an awesome feeling to know that I was modeling three different bathing suits designed by J. Lo. The fact that I got to keep them was a bonus. Since then I have done numerous different fashion shows.
It was around this time that I also became an instructor at JC Hartford. The main thing that I teach is exercise. I have had former students come up to me and tell me that weeks after I taught them they are continuing with the exercises. It feels really good to know that I made an impact on someone's life.
I don't regret my decision to come to JC. I would recommend it to anyone. It all comes down to having fun and with my experience at JC. I have never had so much fun! The people there are amazing and the people that I meet are amazing as well.

I didn't know anybody when i started off but i have made a lot of new friends and the teachers are great... It is alot of work but it is worth it -I love it.. If anybody says you can't be a model because you have no skills don't believe them... That is what my best friend told me but I am like I can do this.. 12 weeks of training of learning about clothes and diets, makeup, runway or even face shots they tell you everything you need to know.. | Hey, I'm 16 years old and I took the Professional Modeling for Women's Course at John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center in Berlin, CT. I always thought I was too short to be a model. But a JC representative actually recruited me in a mall. She told me I don't have to be 5'10, size 00, blonde hair, blue eyes, to be a model, she said I have the cute and adorable look. She came up to me and told me to try it out. So I did. And I don't regret it. All my paychecks went towards the tuition and supplies, with some help from my parents. But it was all worth it in the end. I lerned things I never thought I would. And I'm good at them too. I don't even wear make-up on a daily basis, but I could apply it better than most kids my age. From the catwalk, to the photoshoots, I loved every aspect of the program. It gave me confidence and knowledge. Not just about modeling but about nutrition, communication skills, skin care, and much more. John Casablancas is not for everyone. But I recommend it to anyone who wants to raise their self-esteem, do local modeling on the side for some extra cash and fun (like me), or wants to become America's Next Top Model. John Casablancas is the place to begin. It goes from being you rschool, to your agency. What's better than that? I'm 5 feet tall, size 3, brown curly hair, brown eyes, and Puerto Rican but I can proudly say that I am a JC model. |

| My daughter completed the women's modeling program at John Casablancas, Hartford (Berlin). It is truly a school, as it actually teaches the students in depth about the profession that they have chosen to learn more about. The program thoroughly prepares the students with the skills that are necessary to enter into the modeling world. Some of the skills students learn are: runway walking, skin care, nutrition/exercise, hair care/styles, make up, photos/posing, fashion, television/acting, etc. The staff is very knowledgable, helpful and strives to bring out the best in every student. I've found that my daughter gained a lot of confidence about herself and her ability to enter into modeling. It's a hands-on program that's interesting and a lot of fun too! As a result my daughter Catherine has done some local work and local modeling in fashion runway shows. With the help of Tina Kiniry, the agency president, my daughter Catherine has had the opportunity to go on photo shoots in New York City which have helped to develop her portfolio and her comp card. Tina has also arranged for Catherine to attend go-sees and interviews with modeling agencies in New York. Because of Tina's continued interest and promotion of my daughter, a New York City modeling agency is interested in her and has called her for several castings. Tina has helped guide Catherine along the way and takes a genuine interest in her and her career by regularly keeping in touch with her. I've learned so much through the classes that I took at John Casablancas and found the staff to be very helpful there. There's so much to learn like skin care, make-up, photo sessions, runway, etc. It's a lot of fun too. | Hi, my name is Danielle and I am a graduate of the Womens Professional Modeling Program of John Casablancas in Berlin, CT. I was discovered by John Casablancas when I was thirteen years old. At thirteen, I was constantly being approached by different modeling scouts, and never really looked into it. I figured me? model? At thirteen, I was going through that normal " tween" stage of self confidence issues, it seemed everyone saw the person I didn't believe I was. It wasn't until I was approached by John Casablancas that I really looked into the industry. My mother and I researched all the companies I had been approached by, and chose John Casablancas because of the very professional and caring atmosphere they possessed when I went in for my first interview there. After the interview, I quickly signed up for the classes there, and began a journey I never thought I would be on. The classes taught me so much about the industry, from proper make-up to manners, runway, and acting, most of all I truly learned about myself. That was three years ago, and since graduating I've had plenty of work including two health videos that will appear in high schools nationwide, a Eblens ad, a sport equipment catalog, and I was the hostess of a dvd for a toy that will appear in Walmarts and K-Marts nationwide. Throughout this rollercoster of success two absolutely amazing women have been there to guide me along- Tina and Nancy. Without them I don't believe I would have accomplished any of this. They are very professional, and very approachable, easy to talk to people. They even arranged for the owner of a New York City modeling agency to come to CT to interview me. Within days,I found myself in NYC signing a contract. Since then, I've been traveling to New York City on quite a few castings, and just discovered I got the job for a shoot for Princeton Hall Review/ Random House. If it was not for Tina, none of this would have been possible. She was there with me every step of the way and words can not describe the amount of respect and gratitude I have for her, Nancy, and the John Casablancas Agency. It is truly amazing, how much in three years I've changed under their guidence. Never, in my wildest dreams did I believe that they would arrange for a LA photographer to come and take my pictures, or a NYC agent to interview me. Tina not only did this, but still takes the time to call, or e-mail to see how I am, and for info on the latest job in New York. That I think is truly outstanding, and makes me feel a lot better to know that through all the work I'll ever do, Tina and Nancy will be there to give me advice along with the John Casablancas crew. Before the program began, I was a shy 14 - year old girl who barely answered questions and hated telling waiters what I wanted to eat at a resturant. JC Hartford not only taught me how to do make-up and walk down a runway, they taught me how to present myself to people, and how to overcome shyness. Most importantly they helped me find confidence in myself and it gave me self-assurance. I will never forget the JC female modeling program. | In 1996, when I was 10 years old, I wrote in my class yearbook that I wanted to become a model. Three years later, I attended a fashion show at a local mall which led to to my signing up for classes at John Casablancas in Hartford. The classes at the Center were exciting and the instuctors were very knowledgeable. My favorite classes were always runway. I also learned the importance of fashion and the proper way to wear makeup, which is a life long gift! I graduated from the program in August, 2000. Since then, I have had numerous modeling assignments. I have been in many fashion shows, hair shows, and several auditions for castings. An assignment in NYC was published in several hair salon books nationally. Recently, I have been published twice in the Eblens clothing store circulars. In 2004, I became a runway instructor at John Casablancas. I love teaching runway and helping fellow models succeed and gain confidence! Tina and Nancy at John Casablancas have been very helpful and supportive with exploring various modeling options. I am looking forward to what the future will bring to my modeling career! |

| My daughter Erinne graduated from John Casablanca/Hartford in July 2004, completing the modeling course. She enjoyed the classes and certainly learned a lot. Education included not only make up, fashion and the like, but also gaining self confidence and blossoming into one's own self.
As a parent, I really appreciate how we are informed of whatever Erinne may do through John Casablancas. Everything is new for us, and we can always ask Tina any questions. She is honest and extremely helpful (and funny!). We have never been taken advantage of or steered in the wrong direction. Let's put it this way--you are definately better off spending the time going through classes and going for the duration, rather than going up to New York and not knowing what to expect. In short, our experience with Tina has been enjoyable, informative and ongoing. Keep up the great work....! |

| My daughter, Diana, was discovered at a model search at our local mall organized and sponsored by Tina Kiniry and JC Hartford when she was 10 years old. Several big New York agencies were present at the event and within a week Diana was signed by one of them. Her first job, (within 3 weeks of being discovered and signed ,was a 4 day job for Ralph Lauren! ). We were totally new to the whole modeling process, and as exciting and exhilarating as the NYC experience has been, it is also a little scary. So many things to learn and evaluate, and Tina has been right there with us through the whole experience. In fact without Tina, I don't know that we could have made it sometimes! She has been a mentor, advocate.sounding board, guidence counselor, cheerleader and most of all....a caring, constant friend throughout Diana's career. She is invaluable to us as a source of wisdom in this sometimes tough business. Tina is professional,knowledable, honest and very, very well thought of by people in the modeling business in New York. Diana is 14 now , still modeling ,and in fact, hopes to make modeling a career as she gets older. | Modeling has been my full time career for the past six years, but my success is based upon my experience with John Casablanca's Modeling and Career Centers in Hartford, Connecticut. My late teen years and early 20's have been filled with a hectic whirlwind of travel to six continents and amazing bookings which include Cosmopolitan, Surface, YM, Glamour, Italian Elle, and many other prestigious magazines. I flip through my new editorials with intense anticipation and excitement because even after all this time, I still can't believe my career. I realize that if I hadn't started the program at the JC Center under the strong guidance of the owner, Tina Kiniry, I wouldn't have such amazing experiences to share.
I met Tina when I was a shy and nervous fifteen year-old. I remember listening to Tina intently as she explained the Women's Professional Modeling Program as well as the opportunities that happened afterwards. I wasn't sure what I wanted out of modeling, but I thought I should investigate my options. I began classes shortly after the initial meeting and I was pleasantly surprised each week I went to the Center. It wasn't just about putting on make-up, taking pretty pictures or learning a runway walk. The classes were a wonderful self-discovery each week. Could I memorize lines for a TV ad? Yes! Could I get through a photo shoot? Yes! Could I ace a make-up final? Yes! I began noticing lots of changes in myself, such as raising my hand in school more often and making more of an effort to try new things.
I had some excellent teachers at the Center. I still remember Joan, the make-up teacher's lecture on proper skincare, which I still follow to this day. I remember Walter, the photographer's advice on movement for the camera. I remember the staff and fellow models encouraging and supporting me throughout my entire career. My biggest champion, however, has been Tina. I am highly cognizant of how fortunate I am to have such an incredible manager. She always steers me in the right direction, values my opinions and even invites me into her own home whenever I am in Connecticut. Not many models at my level can boast such strong support from their mother agency.
My experience through the JC Center has proven to be invaluable. I realize I owe a lot to the program that launched my highly successful career and I feel incredibly fortunate for taking advantage of the opportunities that came my way because of John Casablancas.

I just took the modeling classes at John Casablancas, Hartford. It was such a great experience, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructors know a lot about the industry and they guided me thru every small step personally. The thing that I like the most is that I learned everything I needed to learn from skin care to communications to makeup to runway.
I can also go back any time and take refresher classes. In fact, before my photo shoot, I was a little worried, but the photographer made me feel so comfortable, my pictures turned out great!!
In short, it was an enriching experience. It didn’t only give me the skills necessary for modeling, but also boosted up my confidence.

| Population demographics are changing. John Casablancas School in Hartford (Berlin) Ct recognizes this. As part of the baby boomer era, I appreciate their awareness. Now the industry needs to act on this knowledge, and promote models who are 50 years plus.It is not just the young anymore-the spending power is with the baby boomers. We are retiring early, and the kids are no longer at home! We are forging a new way of life, one that is healthier and more active. We are challenging the stereotypes and have greater expectations for ourselves, as we enter the third age. We need to be represented as vibrant and sexy.
The modeling and commercial acting classes were fun! The instructors were helpful and paid attention to my specific needs, which are sometimes different than the needs of younger women. All the staff and the Director continue to be helpfuI and friendly-and they always recognize me by name. I look forward to their ongoing help in promoting a second career. This one should be more fun! Thanks for the opportunity. |
