I have been an instructor for John Casablancas in Detroit for many years. I truly believe in the methodology of the instruction. Each students walks away with confidence and beauty, inside and out. Taking classes at John Casablancas in Detroit was such a great experience. I took 9 weeks of the Modeling course and learned so much from Justine. Justine was the best teacher and she taught me so much about the industry and about myself. She didn't just teach us, she made the classes fun. We did fun activities that made it seem like we weren't even learning when we were. I looked forward so much to every week to go to classes and see the other people in my class that are now my friends. The bonds we made in the classes lasted even after it ended. Janet even got me a job working with a theater company. It's difficult to quantify what my experience with the John Casablancas Center has meant to me. When I started studying acting there, I did so because I needed an escape from the imminent collapse of my marriage. Right away I discovered a friendly and caring atmosphere which made me feel at home. Not only were the classes informative and fun, but the staff was more than accommodating. Everyone was so welcoming that I looked forward all week to the few hours I would spend with my new-found friends.My John Casablancas experience not only got me through some very difficult days, but also gave me the confidence I needed to regain the flow of creativity in my life. Since studying at the John Casablancas Center, I have returned to writing and recording music, and have started work on an album project. I have also been commissioned to write songs for an independent film being produced in Metro Detroit, as well as being cast to play a supportive role in the movie. My life has finally come alive again creatively, and I owe a debt of gratitude to the John Casablancas Center for the role they have played in enabling me to begin this new journey on the path of life.
